Now after a long time without updates I thought I should post new stuff, and also include some info on what’s been happening since graduating from Animation Mentor.
Frankly, a lot has changed since then. After returning from a 3-week trip in the US in the summer of 2010, part of which was the graduation ceremony and the Siggraph conference in L.A., I accepted an offer from DreamWorks Animation and started as an animator in Glendale about 3 months later.
Since then I’ve worked on three movies at DreamWorks, starting with Kung Fu Panda 2. I also worked on Puss in Boots for a little while, whereas most of my time was spent animating on The Croods, the new movie from Chris Sanders, co-directed by Kirk DeMicco. It’s been a fantastic experience so far and I’m learning a lot. The film will be released in March 2013, mark your calendars!
There is not a lot of info about it so far, a facebook page with an early marketing poster, and a promotional poster drawn by Chris Sanders himself.

It’s done, Animation Mentor is finished and I’m officially an alumni of the school. It was a really unique learning experience and I got to know a lot of amazing people. I hope to meet many of them during the graduation events in San Francisco, as well as at Siggraph in L.A. I have updated the reel with some horse animation tests and polished the monkey some more. I will have a cellphone number in the US, so please email me if you want to reach me there, I’m always up for coffee & chat :)

I wanted to do my portfolio site for years now, so here is version 01. Nothing fancy, I wanted to keep it simple.
I will add some more animation clips from professional projects that I worked on before Animation Mentor, but for now the Demo Reel consists only of my 4 best shots from Animation Mentor.
I’m currently in Class 6 of the school and I was lucky to get James Chiang as my mentor. So much to learn!
I will attend Siggraph 2010 and the Animation Mentor graduation events in San Francisco in July this year.
I will also be at fmx Stuttgart from May 4th-7th to see some of the inspiring talks and stop by the recruiting desks.
See you there!
